Top 5 secrets to maintain a healthy parenting amidst a busy life in UK


           Getting a child in life is the most precious gift ,that god has bestowed upon us.Handling more than one child at a  same time would be very rewarding but at the same time very challenging as well. Each child has various needs,interests and each one in each direction at the end.It is the responsibility of a parent to satisfy each and everyone’s needs. It would seems to be a stressful task to handle children for a  mom who has moved to the UK recently. But the lifestyle can change her as in the case of mine.

           On my first day in UK I was on the way to my university walking lonely and sadly with the thoughts of my children, who are with their dad.Because I was brought up in a background where the mom wants to look over the child 24/7 by feeding them and spending whole day and night with them. I was in my children’s thoughts whereas the people around me in the station and road are running indiscriminate of age.I was wondered to see the people running around me and realised that they are all running for their routine works and studies.Thats the moment when I realised that I should also run to chase my goal and ambition to shape a bright future.

             This busy new lifestyle has brought many new changes and challenges for us.It has made us to realize that parenting is not only for moms but for dads as well. Now we have learnt the art of parenting without anyones help.We are managing 3 kids amidst our works and studies.I would like to take the pride myself to be a multi tasker doing my studies and also maintaining a healthy and strong relationship with my children by these simple steps.

1).Plan your things ahead:

            Parents working or studying with children in your side always plan the things before as what to be done the next day.Planning makes it happen.Plan your timing as well as the children.Before going to a work or University on  next day check the timing of your travel time a day before the travel and schedule a time as when to get out of the home for work or uni.The technology has developed so much and travel apps like Citymapper and Trainline calculates the arrival time and departure time for our easy going.

             The Weather apps are ready to show the weather changes for each and every hour.Life has become very easier with the development of technology.Plan your next day with these easy steps to make your day happier without any fuss.Have a clear plan for yourself and your children too. Clearing your lives without any stress will pave way to a stress free parenting. Poor planning can lead to a very stressful morning for you and at the end makes you to yell your children that makes their day blue.

2).Cook a Food filled with love for your Child:

                               

              Whether you are going for a work or study leave some home made favourite foods to the children at home. Even when we are busy it is vital to make food for the children.They like to eat a food cooked with care and love for them and feels very proud to say that their mom made this lovely dish for them.On seeing their favourite food left by their mom especially for them will leave them to blossom a wonderful smile and also increases the love towards you.The bond between a mom and child is very strong and that makes a child to get back to their mom’s favourite recipes even when they are grown up. Providing children with their mom made food can do wonders in their parent child relationship.

3).Drop off/pick up  your children at school:

                

                                  

                 Even if a nanny has been appointed to take care of your child on the way to school or once back to home from school, don’t miss a chance if you get at times. If you are ready early and leaving for work in the morning try to drop your children at school by chating with them on their way to school.The awesome chat that they had with you would make them to leave very happily and it would be a very brightful start of the day. They don’t like to feel lonely while beginning a day. They want their mom or dad to be a part of them while starting their day at school. We can notice a big satisfaction in the child’s face where the child will give you a lovely hug, kiss and say “Bye” while entering the school. 

4).Come back relaxed and enjoy some time together:   

                               


 “Kids don’t need things.Kids need parents who spend time with them”

           On entering the home leave all the stress and tension at your workplace/study place outside. Come back to home so relaxed and peacefully.A short bath of 10 mins can also make you feel relaxed and get rid of your all day pressure.(It would be hygienic as well during these times of Covid Pandemic).If you wish to have a cup of coffee ,you can have it and have some snacks as well with your children. Spend some lovely time with your kids once back at home by snacking together with the family and chating  the nice happenings of the day. 

            Play some games with your children by encouraging them to do some small activities.If you have got 2 or 3 children with you you can make the time fun by having a story time or rhyme time within your family. The siblings would tell their favourite stories one by one and even by singing rhymes together.It would be a great fun for them to cherish their day.It would also encourage the younger sibling in the family to develop its speech skills by absorbing the elder ones.

5).Enjoy the bedtime routine with children:  

                                     


                The night sleep is considered to be very important for the child and a child can have a deep sleep only if they are happy enough.The child who gets sufficient sleep has good attention for things,good behaviour,learning and memory skills as well.Make a bedtime routine each day to get a better sleep. 

          The child wants its mom or dad by its side to settle down into the bed happily.They just want to make sure that you are there to support them.Tell them a wonderful bedtime story so that they can indulge into the story by listening and immerse into sleep mode slowly. Then they can settle into the bed happily and gets enough sleep for the day without any interruptions.

            However it may not sound a easy task for every parents but its  these "smallest things in life that can bring  great changes".The small things that we do with the children and for their goodness would develop a strong bond between the parents and children.The children wants to understand from their childhood itself that they have their parents with them to share everything and they can cherish each and every moment with their parents.So it would be very helpful to maintain a healthy relationship with a child amidst the busy life schedule.
